Rescue P.A.W.S. is a not-for-profit organization that provides animal welfare through sterilization and education. We aim to reduce the overpopulation of dogs and cats in Thailand. We envision a future free of stray or neglected animals in the Prachuap Khiri Khan province, where education aids the change. Our hope is that our approach can be adopted in other parts of Thailand as a model to reduce stray populations across the country. Volunteers can expect to be involved in (but not limited to) fieldwork, daily dog care, health checks and procedures and media.
Volunteers MUST have rabies vaccinations due to the nature of the work. Your safety and enjoyment is of the utmost importance to us.
We offer an inclusive program that welcomes volunteers from all nationalities and all experience levels. We require only for volunteers to be 18+ years of age (Under 18 would need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian) and to be able to speak English or Thai to allow for easy communication, which is vital to the well-being of our volunteers, staff, and animals.
Accommodation and associated utilities are included in the program price. The volunteer house comes equipped with Wi-Fi, kitchen, and washing machine. Volunteers also participate in a range of amazing cultural activities including visits to Pranburi Forest Park, a Thai cooking class, and temple meditation with the head monk of the monastery that hosts Rescue P.A.W.S.
